In the midst of his brother’s uncompromising accusations, Aamir Khan discreetly left for a vacation with his Ladylove Gauri Spratt on Tuesday. “I needed a break; a certain break from all the stress. Gauri has a very soothing effect on me. The simple fact of being with her makes me feel peaceful,” Aamir told this writer.

Last week was far from easy for the actor, his brother Faisal accusing him of forced confinement, among others. Aamir had to attend an event prior to Hyderabad Coolie Alongside Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna, but chose to miss him, preferring to avoid uncomfortable media issues on his family situation.

In the conversation, Aamir confirmed that he had not billed money for Coolie. “No, Subhash, I did not bilk money. I have too much love and respect for Rajni Sir to think of money. The simple fact of sharing the screen with him is sufficiently rewarded.”

On his decision to fly away on the eve of the film’s release, Aamir explained: “It is not as if I am the hero of Coolie. I’m just a cameo player. Rajini Sir and Nag play the central characters. If the public flocked to see CoolieIt will be to see them, not me.
