Alia Bhatt joins hands with Amazon Prime Video for young adult drama: Report : Bollywood News
Alia Bhatt is expected to explore the young adult genre with her next production company under Eternal Sunshine Pictures, in collaboration with Amazon Prime Video and Chalkboard Entertainment, according to a Peeping Moon report. The unit film is described as a story of transition to adulthood on a dynamic Indian college campus.

Directed by Sreeti Mukerji, who has already helped Ayan Mukerji Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani And BrahmastreThe film will mark its beginnings as a director. Sources have revealed to the publication that the story will be “in the area of Wake upBut from a girl’s point of view, ”offering a refreshing perspective on young people, aspirations and personal growth. The shooting should start in October.
This marks the first Alia Bhatt functional film project with Amazon Prime Video, following its role as executive producer in the famous criminal dramatic series by Richie Mehta. Speaking of her trip as a producer, Alia had said previously: “Content production allows me to tell the stories I think and defend the new voices in cinema.”
Alia first ventured into production with Netflix Punishment in 2022. She also supported the adaptation of the novel by Manju Kapur Difficult girlsTo be led by his mother, Soni Razdan.
On the actor front, Alia will then be seen alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali Love and warwhich should end by December and release in June 2026. She should also play in Maddock Films Horror Comedy Chamunda in 2026 and was in talks with Kalki 2898 AD Director Nag Ashwin for a high concept project led by women.
