The clip was shared on the official NCB account, where Alia urged people to oppose drugs and support the mission of the office. A few hours after being published, the video gained ground and became viral, crossing 1.1 million views and sharing more than 680 times. The legend on the post was read: “Alia Bhatt joined NCB to broadcast the message of a #DrugSfreebharat #Nashamuktbharat #Azadififrugs”.
In the video, Alia addressed the issue of drug addiction, calling it a growing threat to individuals, society and the nation. She asked people to support the special campaign by saying yes to life and no to drugs. She also encouraged viewers to have an electronic food via the bond or the QR code provided, stressing the importance of collective action in the fight against this problem.
The online answer, however, was largely negative. The message received only six comments before the response option was disabled, but lagging fishing continued with quotation tweets, where people did not retain their criticism. Many users have called ironic and even funny video, some questioning the choice to present Alia in such a campaign, which makes the whole conversation more on the controversy than the planned message.
