Anurag Kashyap Slams Lord Hanuman Film Made, calls producers: “You should be in the gutter”
Among those who expressed a strong dissatisfaction, there was the filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, known for her noted opinions and his acclaimed works as Wasseypur gangs. By relying on Instagram, Kashyap shared a long note strongly criticizing production houses for this decision and questioned the role of artists’ representation agencies in the activation of such projects.
The Kashyap post read: “Congratulations @ vijaysubramaniam84. They go all the AI.
He also continued: “Any actor or anyone who is called artists and has a spine will be and should be questioned or leave the agency because he has proven that he thinks that you are not up to his IA performance. This here is the future for the Spinless and Cowardly that shame has not called you enough.
Kashyap’s explosive remarks immediately gained ground, a lot in the resonant industry with its feeling. His longtime friend and collaborator, Vikramithya Motwane, has also weighed on the issue. The filmmaker, who previously carried out a project exploring the impact of artificial intelligence and his control over the public, expressed his criticisms through his Instagram history. Motwane wrote: “And so it’s starting … who needs writers and directors when he is” made in AI “”.

The joint reaction of Kashyap and Motwane reflects a greater concern in the creative industry, where the art and content generated by AI are increasingly positioned as replacements for human creativity. While production houses technology as the future of cinema, many directors, writers and actors fear that this change hides the very essence of the narration rooted in human experiences.
With this controversy making the headlines, the debate on the role of AI in cinema should intensify, leaving the divided industry between innovation and authenticity.
