The last adventure of director of director Anurag Kashyap Bandar / monkey in a cage Was selected for the world premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, from September 4 to 14, 2025. The film, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, presents Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra in hinged roles. This marks the first official announcement on the project, revealing both the title and the casting star.

The manufacturers have published the very first overview of the intense look of actor Bobby Deol of the film, announcing the official selection of the film at TIFF. They subtitled him: “The story that should not have been told … But it is the official selection of the 50th International Film of the Film of Toronto 2025. Our film inspired by True Events is making the first in # TIFF50”
Bandar Will select as part of the TIFF special presentation program, which celebrates contemporary cinema around the world. The selection represents an important step for Indian cinema in one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world.
Director Anurag Kashyap, known for her cult classics as Wasseypur gangs,, Black FridayAnd UglyBring his style of raw narrative signature to this new project. Bobby Deol, who experienced a remarkable career resurgence, leads the set flowed alongside the acclaimed actresses Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad and Sapna Pabbi.
Producer Nikhil Dwivedi, who supported successful films, especially Veere di marriage (2018) and Ctrl (2024), continues its history of support for unique stories. Dwivedi also produces the next fantastic drama Nagin With Shraddha Kapoor.
The 50th edition of Tiff, presented by Rogers, will present films from more than 30 countries. Monkey in a cage joins an impressive range of world firsts and international titles in competition for attention at the festival.
