According to a midday report, Khar police said the incident occurred in the early hours of June 19. The accused went to the complex around 1 hour in a yellow car through door 1, claiming to be a guest visiting an apartment on the 17th floor. Due to the previous instructions of the resident to allow guests without intercom confirmation, the security guard allowed the man to enter, ordering him to park in the parking lot of customers in the basement 2. However, the man parked in basement 1 instead.
Despite several red flags – including his refusal to provide an access card and inconsistent affirmations on the ground he intended to visit – the man was not escorted out of the premises after about 10 minutes. It was not until the next morning that the real extent of his actions was revealed.
“The elevator has proven to be non -functional. Video surveillance images have shown that the man had placed large stones inside the elevator and was seen to make mocking and inappropriate gestures towards the camera,” confirmed a senior police official.
A FIR was recorded on the basis of a complaint filed by Umesh Sarate, the company’s security manager. Security sequences and vehicle registration data have helped the police trace the suspect, which is currently hospitalized. Khar’s main Sanjemal Dhumal Sanjamal Police Inspector said that other interrogations would take place after his release.
