BCCI’s Centre Of Excellence Set To Get New Spin Bowling Coach Replacing Sairaj Bahutule




The BCCI Center of Excellence (Coe) will soon have a new spin bowling coach, replacing Sairaj Bahutule, who resigned earlier this year to join the IPL Rajasthan Royals franchise. The CEE, which has moved to its new location in Bengaluru, was previously known as the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Since the departure of Bahutule, the position is vacant and that the Board of Directors has now invited applications for a role that will be “an integral part of the development and improvement in the performance of the talent of Bowling of India in all formats and age groups, including the senior teams of India (men and women), India A, U-23, U-199, U-1 and U-1 Squads and the players in the state association BCCI Coe. ” In accordance with the job requirements, the Bowling Spin coach will report to VVS Laxman, at the head, in COE cricket.

“Bowling Spin coach will work in close collaboration with Cricket Head Cricket, BCCI Coe, to design and offer specialized coaching programs and help performance monitoring.

“The role also involves working in close collaboration with selectors, national and state coaches, performance analysts and strength and packaging experts to develop high performance training plans,” said BCCI secretary, Devajit Saikia, in a press release.

Among the main responsibilities of the new spin bowling coach, the most important will certainly be the certification of rehabilitation and physical form of the cricket players injured under the aegis of Coe.

Compulsory requirements also include planning and execution of training sessions, individual technical coaching, the individual roadmap for players with tangible (measurable) objectives.

The coach must also be technically warned with knowledge of biomechanics and the ability to decipher data stored in GPS devices.

The qualification requires that the holder either a former player of India or a first -class cricket player with an experience of 75 games. An earlier experience to be part of a high performance coach will be credited. A BCCI level 2 or 3 certification is also necessary.
