In a movement that has sent shock waves in the film industry, Vyjayanthi Films, the production house behind the superproduction of epic science fiction Kalki 2898 ADhas published an official statement confirming that actress Deepika Padukone will not be part of the long -awaited suite of the film.

The announcement was made via official social networks of the production house, putting months of speculation concerning the participation of the actress. The declaration indicates: “It is a question of officially announced that @deeepikapadukone will not be part of the future to come from # Kalki2898ad. After a special attention, we decided to separate. Despite the long journey from the production of the first film, we could not engage much more. We wish him the best of the works.”
The pointing reference of the declaration to “commitment” and the inability to “find a partnership” fueled existing rumors on the reasons for departure. In recent months, reports have surfaced by suggesting potential repercussions between the actress and manufacturers compared to creative differences and planning. The role of Deepika Padukone as Sum-80 was at the heart of the intrigue of the first film, with the whole story revolving around her character and the unborn child she carries, considered the last avatar of Lord Vishnu, Kalki. While production is preparing, the emphasis now moves to who will pass into the main female role.
Despite his departure from the Kalki Franchise, Padukone continues to be one of the most sought after stars in industry, with major projects such as King Alongside Shah Rukh Khan still on his schedule.
