Digvesh Rathi: From Club Matches To Being LSG’s ‘Go-To’ Man, The Inspirational Journey

During the domestic cricket season, Vijay Dahiya lives from the suitcase by jumping from one Indian city to another filling its distribution commitments. But if he happens to be in Delhi during the summer months, the former goalkeeper batter of India would look at the club’s club cricket on a field and that is how he discovered a disguised leg leg – Digvesh Singh Rathi with a high arm action. We learn that once Dahiya saw Rathi Bowling on the field of Jamia Milia Islamia University (where Delhi had played a number of Ranji trophy games), he spoke to Ayush Badoni, who also played this particular club game.
“Ayush, this boy would play IPL over the next two years”, Dahiya did not mind being an overview during his conversation with Badoni, who was already with LSG at the time.
Friday evening, Dahiya, whose eye to locate the talents was indisputable, had to feel chuffed while watching Rathi stop a star Mumbai of the Indians on their traces with figures of 1 for 21.
He understood eight points of points and a beautiful googly to send in shape Naman Dir.
It was not a smooth driving for Digvesh, who was 25 years old last December, because he had to face the flying selection policies of Delhi Cricket.
Originally from Sushila Garden located in the North East Delhi region, Digvest was chosen for the Delhi U-23 team in the 2018-19 season but could not play a single match.
He was abandoned the following season, then there was no trace of him before the 2022-23 season when the BCCI had changed the U-23 competition in U-24 and Rathi played 10 games through red and white ball formats for Delhi.
This season after his success by Delhi Premier League (DPL), Rathi has played two games from Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 against Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur and Delhi cricket people are surprised to know why head coach Sarandeep Singh and the selection committee did not think of playing it in more matches. “He did decently well, but it was Suyash, who played for KKR during the time of IPL 2023. Digvest came when Vijay Dahiya, who was coach of Purani Delhi 6, made him play for the superstars in the south of Delhi during the DDCA.
“Vijay has been following him for three years. He is a friend very close to the RCB Suyash Sharma leg spinner. One is from Seemapuri and the other lives in Bhajanpura. The two come from the northeast of Delhi,” he shared information on the high school student with a fluid manna.
“Dono Dost, Ek Saath Practice Bhi Kiya Karte Toe.
Before the LSG camp of this season, Dahiya, who was back with the franchise, personally watched the 15 -day net session for Digvest on the college field of St Stephen.
Digvez has already cut 50% of the fines in the two games for its checkout, the celebrations of the notebooks and the senior players in the management of the LSG team would certainly come and explain the back and not to do at the elite level.
The celebrations involving Priyansh Arya during the kings of Punjab concerned more a game of an increase between two friends who played for the same franchise in the DPL.
“Priyansh told him before the match that I will hit you for six and Digvez had challenged him that he would take him out. It is healthy jokes with friends.” Ask Dahiya on Rathi’s strengths, the cunning coach does not want to disclose anything for public consumption outside of what exists on the front of viewers.
He believes that Rathi will take the distance, but he should be allowed to focus on his game.
