Kajol should resume his role as a lawyer Noyonika Sengpta in the second season of the trial: Pyaar. Kaanoon. Dhokha, which is starting to broadcast on Jiohotstar from September 19, 2025. Directed by Umesh Bist and produced by Banijay Asia, the series will continue its mix of drama in the courtroom and personal conflicts, with higher issues and deeper betrayals at the center of its narration.

This season, Noyonika is confronted not only with difficult legal battles, but also with personal dilemmas that test its relationships and choices. Described as “more fierce, sharper and emotionally charged”, the character of Kajol finds himself torn between love, ambition and truth.
Speaking of the project, the director Umesh Bist made parallels between his previous film Pagilant and the trial. He said: “I have always been attracted to stories focused on the characters where the protagonist is taken in a unique and complex situation, giving me a chance to explore a network of emotions. In this sense, Pagilant And the S2 test is quite similar. While Pagilant deals with love and sorrow, the trial navigates love and betrayal. The two have strong women who think differently, and it naturally creates challenges. The main difference was in the narrative conception of Pagilant Being a feature film and the test a web series of six episodes, but beyond that, the cinema process has remained quite similar. »»
The series continues to use audience affairs as a backdrop to explore wider questions of morality, confidence and betrayal. Alongside Kajol, the overall cast includes Karanvir Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, Kubbra knows, Sheeba Chaddha, Sonali Kulkarni, Gaurav Pandey and Alyy Khan.
The trial: Pyaar. Kaanoon. Dhokha season 2 will be available for streaming from September 19, 2025, on Jiohotstar.
