Earlier this year, Kartik Aaryan’s fans were in for a treat when it was announced that he would be seen in the high-concept creature comedy. Naagzillabacked by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain’s Mahaveer Jain Films (with Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Sujit Jain as partners). Bollywood Hungama has just learned that the much-awaited film, starring Kartik in the role of a nag shapeshifter, will hit the screens in about two weeks.

A source said Bollywood Hungama“Kartik Aaryan will start shooting for Naagzilla from November 1 in Mumbai. The actor and the entire crew of the film are eager to start shooting. Pre-production has been in full swing for some time. The team is therefore perfectly ready to start filming. The plan is to release the film next year, on Independence Day, as planned.
When asked about the female lead, the source said, “The makers have not yet made the final decision, but rest assured, it will surely be a surprise that will further delight everyone who is waiting for this one-of-a-kind film.”
Yesterday, October 16, Bollywood Hungama had announced that Kartik Aaryan will also resume shooting for Anurag Basu’s next film in November. The source revealed, “Kartik will be juggling the shoot of both films. He is a thorough professional and has impeccably planned his appointments for the next month.”
Naagzilla is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and marks the beginning of a long partnership between Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain’s Mahaveer Jain Films. The aim is to create entertainers outside the box – from high-concept fantasies to contemporary dramas to gripping narratives rooted in Indian ethos and more.
Interestingly, Kartik Aaryan and Mahaveer Jain were recently seen at Whistling Woods International, where they were honored by Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group. Earlier this year, Kartik and Karan Johar completed shooting for the romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Starring Ananya Panday, the release is scheduled for December 31, 2025. Naagzilla marks the second collaboration between Kartik and KJo.
