‘Rowdy Rathore 2 ‘seems to no longer happen. The script, written by the writer of Vétéran V. We also heard that the famous Tamil filmmaker Ps Mithran was signed to make the film, with plans to put it in production at the beginning of next year. Mithran is widely known to direct elegant and commercial successful films such as Vishal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Techno-Thriller, “Irumbu Thirai” (2018); Sivakarthikeyan’s superhero film in 2019, “Hero”; and the action thriller of Karthi “Sardar” (2022). His next director, “Sardar 2”, with Karthi, SJ Suryah and Malavika Mohanan, should be released in December 2025.
The cast of this revised and new action artist has not yet been finalized, but the sources indicate that Sidharth Malhotra, who was initially in talks to make the headlines, could no longer be involved because the manufacturers now hesitate to launch it, citing concerns about his box office draw in an action-based role. Instead, they are actively looking for a younger and bankable star to play a striking and bigger than life policeman who will do everything to protect his people. Production is planned for the beginning of 2026.
