Experience Gained From Playing In IPL Has Been Most Important Thing, Says Sai Sudharsan

Since its beginnings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022, Sai Sudharsan has attracted connoisseurs of the match with his elegant blows and his impressive draft game. In IPL 2025, Sudharsan continued to be in a strong form by aming 186 points in three games for the Gujarat Titans and being the second run-master of the tournament. Sudharsan, the left -handed opening which also played three ODI and a T20i for India, believes that the experiences he has acquired by playing in IPL has greatly contributed to its growth and development as a T20 striker. “Well, I would say that the most important thing would be the experience I have that I have and won a lot of these three years to be exposed to playing a lot of games, and having a lot of playing time in IPL, because it is the most important thing.”
“I think I have improved my striker because once you got used to certain situations, it is when you learn a lot. So I think learning came from the situation, because you learn a lot and try to work on it and improve it,” said Sudharsan in Ians during an episode of Jiostar’s press room on Friday.
During GT’s victory in eight gates against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday evening, while making a 49 ball of 36 bullets, the broadcasters showed visuals from Sudharsan visualizing his scoop, a right journey on the ground and a wrist film, something he reproduced against the fast quieurs.
It has shown that Sudharsan is a bright believer to see his photos in mind and execute with finesse in the match. “I mean, certainly, in terms of preparation, I think that the most important thing for me is visualization and hard work in practice. I try to see what the player does.
“I then try to take advantage of the tactical advantages of these quisors and I try it first in the nets, whether it is possible to do against them, or if it is possible to perform it in the game. So, I arrive first in balls on the ground, then I will visualize it, then I go and try it in the match,” he added.
The Sudharsan calm and composed, which will then be seen in action when GT will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, signed by giving an overview of his state of mind when he is in the fold.
“It’s just this hunger to shop and win the team whenever possible. It is just this state of mind to always continue to push your limits and not to be satisfied or not to be satisfied with what you have already done. But at the same time, always pushing your limits or your limits to be better or always improved whenever possible – so it is my state of mind whenever I go into a game.”
