MS Dhoni has scripted the story by becoming the first Indian striker to mark 200 IPL Six after celebrating his 30th anniversary. Although Chennai Super Kings fell to a close loss against the Royals of Rajasthan during their IPL 2025 meeting, Dhoni criticized a Tushar’s Tushar’s Deshpand in the 19th above the match to climb his name in history books. Overall, Dhoni is only the second player to achieve the feat after Chris Gayle who slammed 347 six after being 30 years old. Rohit Sharma (113), Ambati Rayudu (109) and Dinesh Karthik (104) are the only Indians to score more than 100 after 30 years.
Dhoni cannot beat ten overs during the full stick while his knee remains doubtful and the former captain decides on his position as a shot based on the situation of the match, revealed CSK coach Stephen Fleming.
Dhoni, 43 years old, was criticized for hitting the number 9 when losing 50 CSK points against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Chepauk last week.
On Sunday, the Talisman CSK was released at number 7 with the team needing 54 out of 25 balls, but could only manage 16 points out of 11 balls when they suffered a six -point defeat against the Royals of Rajasthan.
“This is a thing of time. Ms the judge. His body, his knees are not what they were.
“If the game is in balance as today, it will go a little earlier and support other players when other opportunities are in place. It is therefore in balance.
“He never did this. So look, from around 13, 14, he is looking to leave, according to whom is.”
