After making waves on the World Festival circuit, the highly anticipated drama of Neeraj Ghaywan Confronted with the house is ready for his theatrical release. On September 13, 2025, producer Karan Johar went to social networks to announce that the film will be released in the cinemas of the world on September 26, 2025. Sharing the update, Johar wrote: “No feeling is final. #Homebound is released in the cinemas on September 26, around the world. ” The film will broadcast later on Netflix.

Confronted with the house Had his world premiere in May 2025 at the Cannes Film Festival, where he was presented in the prestigious A certain respect section. Directed and written by Ghaywan, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Ponawalla, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra under Dharma Productions. Adding more weight to the project, the Hollywood legend Martin Scorsese came on board earlier this year as an executive producer. In April, Johar revealed the association of Scorsese with the film by publishing the handwritten note of the filmmaker for the vision of Ghaywan. Presence of the director, Scorsese wrote: “I watched Neeraj’s first film Masaan In 2015 and I loved it… Neeraj created a beautifully directed film which is a precious addition to Indian cinema. »»
Ghaywan credited Scorsesse to have supervised him during the development of the film, the revisions of scenarios and the edition. Speaking of the experience, he said: “(It’s) an honor beyond words … Mr. Scorsese supervised us through the scenario and several mounting cycles. He listened carefully, understood the cultural context and each time offered reflected and incisive notes. ”
