Sydney is peoiseed for A Momentous Revival of its Indian Film Festival This October, As the Event Returns After A Hiatus to Bring Three Days of Rich Cinematic Storytelling from 9–11 October 2025. Organized by Mitu Bhowmick Lange AM, the Visionary Behind the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Year’s Sydney Edition Will Open with Full plateWritten and directed by the actor-Filmaker Tannishtha Chatterjee and produced by Ashutosh Goswami and Anup Chitnis.

The film concerns a woman with a Muslim home in Mumbai whose husband’s accident forces her to earn a living, leading to her husband’s insecurity and personal transformation.
Reflecting on the opening of the festival with Complete plate, Tannishtha Chatterjee says: “In the midst of one of the most difficult chapters of my life, it meant that everything knows that the stories still count. When Mitu asked me to open the Sydney Indian Film Festival with Full plateI felt both humiliated and deeply grateful. This film was born out of the struggle, grain and hope, and sharing it with the public of Sydney wants to make the trip complete. »»

During the three -day festival, Sydney will attend a carefully organized range of more than 15 films from all of India and the Indian diaspora, covering several languages and genres. The program will include independent voices, feature films, short films and documentaries, as well as group discussions, questions and answers and filmmakers who allow the public to engage directly with art and artists.
