The two children of Karisma Kapoor filed a civil prosecution before the High Court of Delhi about the succession of their late father, industrialist Sunjay Kapur, estimated at around 30,000 Rs. According to the Ani, the brothers and sisters, represented by their mother as a legal guardian, accused their mother-in-law, Priya Kapur, of forging a desire to take control of the active.

According to the complaint, Priya Kapur initially denied that Sunjay left a will and said that his assets were held under the RK Family Trust. Later, she produced a document dated March 21, 2025, saying that it was her will, that children allege. The pursuit seeks a partition of the succession, an interpretation of accounts and a permanent injunction against the defendants.
Succession and known assets
The complainants said they lacked details of their father’s wealth at the time of his death. Although they have joined a list of known properties, they alleged that Priya Kapur hid information and did not disclose the full extent of its assets.
Sunjay Kapur died on June 12, 2025, while playing polo shirt in Windsor, the United Kingdom. His children claim that he had assured them of their financial future, launched companies on their behalf, acquired assets on behalf of their name and identified them as beneficiaries of the Family Trust.
Defendants in the case
The first and second accused are Priya Kapur and his minor son, both living in the Rajokri family farm, Delhi. The third accused is Sunjay’s mother, while the fourth is a woman identified as the testamentary executor of the disputed will.
The children also allege that after the death of their father, his funeral took place on June 19 in Lodhi Cremation Ground – Priya Kapur limited their access to trust documents and financial assets. They also claim that they were summoned to corporate meetings of Sona Blw Precision Forgings Ltd. (Sona Comstar) and asked to sign documents without being clarified on the trust deed and related documents.
Close link with the father
The complainants described their relationship with their father as close, marked by frequent vacation, commercial conversations and personal milestones. They argue that these interactions reflected his commitment to their future security and well-being.
With suspicions on the alleged will and increasing concerns about transparency, children have approached the High Court of Delhi, which will now examine the validity of the disputed document and the asset division.
