Liverpool Star Mohamed Salah Wins Football Writers’ Association Player Of The Year, Secures Biggest Win Margin

Mohamed Salah won the Player of the Year Prize of the Football Writers Association for the third time Friday after inspiring Liverpool’s march in a 20th Record English title. Salah won the prize after scoring 28 goals and produced 18 assists to Liverpool in the Premier League this season. The Egyptian striker broke the record for the greatest number of objectives in a 38 -game premier league campaign while the Arne Slot team has been going to their first title since 2020. Salah obtained nearly 90% of the votes of football writers, marking the largest winning margin of this century.
The central defender of Liverpool, Virgil Van Dijk, arrived second in the competition, with the Newcastle striker Alexander Isak Third and the midfielder Declan Rice fourth.
Salah, which has already received the prize in 2017-2018 and 2021-2022, is now at the level of the former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry as the only players to win him three times.
The 32 -year -old has recently ended his future speculation by signing a new two -year contract to stay in Anfield until 2027.
Salah’s decision to commit to Liverpool will make them the favorites to win a 21st record title next season while they are looking to move forward on Manchester United as the most successful high flight club in England.
Alessia Russo became the second arsenal player to win the female prize when the striker ended before last year winner, Khadija Shaw.
