Friday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is preparing to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Chennai, head coach Stephen Fleming stressed the uniformly adapted nature of this year’s competition. Speaking before the competition, Fleming minimized past performances and recognized the changes that the two teams have suffered since last season of the Indian Premier (IPL).
“Things are changing fairly quickly. The RCB of last year, the CSK of last year is very different. We are not looking at all in past performance at all. Certainly, looking at their team, Kohli is a large part, but they also have other strengths. The competition is really even this year,” said Fleming, according to the CSK website.
With game conditions always a factor in any game, the CSK head coach admitted that adaptability will be essential while the team sails in different fields throughout the tournament.
“It is difficult, we do not have much influence on what is happening. Each pitch has a different characteristic, so we work very hard to determine what will work and what we have and try to do well equipped for all the conditions, because it was the key here,” he explained.
