An old video by actress Mrunal Thakur of her days Kumkum Bhagya resurfaced online a few days ago, arousing controversy and animated discussions on social networks. The clip, dating from his time on the popular program Ektaa R. Kapoor on Zee TV, presents Thakur in a light media interaction with his co-star Arjit Taneja.

Listen, I am much better than Bipasha.” Although it meant like playful jokes, the remark did not ensure well with the fans of the actress of Bollywood Bipasha Basu, many interpreting her as a bodily and disdainful shame.
While the clip was gaining online with fans and followers slamming Thakur for his opinions, Mrunal decided to address the front case by launching frank excuses on his social media page. “Me 19 years old in adolescence said a lot of silly things. I did not always understand the weight of my voice or how many words, even joking, could hurt. She also added: “It was playful jokes in an interview that went too far. But I understand how it met, and I would really like to have chosen my words differently. Over time, I learned to appreciate that beauty is in each form, and it is something that I really appreciate now.”
His clarifications have been widely shared, much appreciating his honesty, his growth and his desire to take into account. The actress, known for her strong but empathetic character, concluded by reiterating her conviction that women can be both “soft and strong” – a combination which, according to her, makes them unstoppable.
