Captain of Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni, added another pen to his cap in his illustrious career and devoted his inheritance in the world of cricket by becoming the first player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to carry out 200 layoffs. Dhoni achieved the feat during the Chennai Super Kings meeting against Lucknow super-managers on Monday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. After his heroic behind Lucknow’s strains in the 14th, the experienced ticket office became the first scriptwriting player for his name. Ayush Badoni, who tried to increase the running flow in the middle of the Overs, moved away from the fold while trying to take Jadeja Ravira.
But Jadeja, with her experience, used her rhythm and her line to beat Badoni’s bat. Dhoni, with a quick speed of lightning, collected the ball and ignited the berries in a flash by dislodging them from the strains.
During its 271st IPL appearance, Dhoni violated the mark of 200-divisms by successfully finishing the taking of his counterpart Rishabh Pant in the final while LSG packed their sleeves on 166/7. The experienced striker of the Guichet-Gardien has 201 licensees, made up of 155 captures and 46 strains.
Former goalkeeper Dinesh Karthik occupies second place with 182 layoffs to his credit. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru Ab de Villiers icon is seated in third place with 126 layoffs in its name.
In his record match, Dhoni won the draw and decided to put Lucknow to beat. Aside from a 50-point stand between Mitchell Marsh (30 in 25 balls, with two four and two) and a pants skipper, there was nothing a lot for the LSG in the first half.
Pant came well with half a century, marking 63 in 49 bullets, with four limits and four six. Pant had a stand of 53 points with Abdul Samad (20 in 11 balls, with two six) towards the end, which brought LSG to 166/7 in 20 Overs. Ravirand Jadeja (2/24) and Matheesha Pathirana (2/45) were the best querors of CSK.
