MS Dhoni “Should’ve Retired In 2023”: Ruturaj Gaikwad Told “It’s Not Working” By Ex India Star

Ms. Dhoni could still produce an incredible magic behind the stumps, but with the bat, it looks like a passive for the super Kings of Chennai. Since the start of the season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Dhoni has failed to win a single match for the franchise despite its recognition among the best finish in the match. Its point of entry into the order of strikers was also a concern. Against the capitals of Delhi, when Dhoni beat for 26 bullets, he could only mark 30 points, leaving the franchise devoid of a great finish which was required of his bat.
While Dhoni’s ability with the battle and the protection of the franchise of him triggers a debate, the former drummer of India Manoj Tiwary dropped a blunt remark, saying that the CSK icon should have withdrawn from IPL there are two seasons.
“Forgive me if I am a little strict here. He should have retired after IPL 2023; that was his best time. With all the respect he has earned over the years, fans have not been able to see him in the past two years, and he gets lost. Look how the fans of Chennai react, coming on the roads and giving these interviews,” he said in a conversation Spit.
CSK coach Stephen Fleming, describing Dhoni’s situation at a press conference, said Thala could not fight for 8 to 10 overs due to a knee problem. However, Tiwary could not understand the logic behind a statement such that Dhoni is able to keep the counters perfectly for 20 overs.
“He makes the effort. Stephen Fleming also said that Dhoni could not beat more than 10 overs. But I do not understand, when you can align more than 20 overs, where you have to sit down and go down, dive to take captures, take streams, then you do not hurt, but when you have to do anything for the team. Work and that he should leave,” he said.
Until now, Dhoni’s performance has also sparked high retirement speculations. Many believe that the former captain of India would announce his retirement from IPL during this season.
