Mykolas Alekna Smashes His Own World Discus Record

Mykolas Alekna from Lithuanie erased his own world record with a 75.56 -meter throwing on Sunday at the same place where he set the previous brand a year ago. The Olympic silver medalist became the first man to have launched a disc more than 75m with his efforts in the fourth round in the competition of the Oklahoma Throws series in Ramona. This uprising improved its brand 12 months ago more than a meter. In fact, he first broke the previous record of half a meter with his first 74.89 m throw.
The record was threatened earlier this week when Matthew Denny in Australia recorded the second advance in the history of the disc with an oceania of 74.25 m in Ramona on Thursday.
Denny, the Olympic bronze medalist, had to bow to Alekna on Sunday with a better attempt of 74.78 m which exceeded the world record in the Lithuanian but left him a finalist.
