On August 8, Prime Video, in collaboration with Excel Entertainment, unveiled the trailer for the spine of its next supernatural horror series. Pulled by Priya Bapat, Karanvir Malhotra, Prajakta Koli and the surveillance of Chawla, the series also has a power casting showing Vatsal Sheth, Parvin Dabas and Pranay Pachauri in hinged roles. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Kassim Jagmagia, Mohit Shah and Karan Anshuman under the banner of Excel Entertainment, with Vishal Ramchandani as an associate producer, the series of eight episodes is written by Gaurav Desai, Raaghav Dar, Chinetan Sarda and Karan Anshuman, and Diaghav by Raaghav. Andhera will be first exclusively on Prime Video.

Rooted in a world where logic meets the unknown, Andhera weaves a frightening investigation drama with an atmospheric supernatural horror, promising an immersive and before the seat. Against the dazzling but misleading roofs of Mumbai, the trailer takes off the sparkling surface of the city to reveal something much darker. When a young woman disappears in mysterious circumstances, the inspector Kalpana Kadam (Priya Bapat) and the medical student in difficulty Jay (Karanvir Malhotra) are drawn in a dark spiral of secrets. While their investigation finds a sinister force hiding in the shadows, reality begins to fracture. While the line between reality and the nightmare begins to dissolve, the duo must confront the forces that challenge the explanation – and fight a creeping darkness which threatens to consume everything on its way.
“With Andhera, we wanted to create something that would not only scare, but also reflection,” said director Raaghav Dar. “The idea was never to count on conventional horror tropes, but to explore fear as something much more psychological – something that arises from ambition, guilt and secrets in which we will buried deep. We have built a world where horror emerges from the choices that people make, where science and the supernatural interlacing in a disturbing way. This interior chaos, while providing a captivating and point of the seat.
Producer Karan Anshuman added: “With Andhera, we take off the strata of fear. Warned: if you are looking for comfort, look elsewhere.
“I was instantly intrigued by the world of Andhera. It is a story of psychological horror, but basically, it is the survival of the spirit, the truth and the identity,” said actor Prajakta Koli. “My character is impulsive, daring and often skeptical, but she is also deeply affected by what she cannot explain. Being part of a story that is so strange but emotionally superimposed has been an unforgettable experience. I really can’t wait for the public to be trained in this world and I see how the mystery takes place slowly.”
