The wing of economic offenses (EOW) of the Mumbai police intensified its investigation into an alleged financial fraud of Rs 60 crores involving the businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actor Shilpa Shetty. According to officials, Kundra’s declaration was recorded for almost five hours this week, and it is likely to be summoned next week for another interrogation.

According to reports, during the investigation, KURAND said that part of the contested amount had been paid to BIPASHA BASU and Neha DHUPIA actresses. However, the investigators noted that he remained silent on several crucial points, which prompted plans for additional questioning cycles.
Sources have told Ians that the EOW had traced nearly 25 RS transfers in direct transfers of the company’s accounts in the accounts of several actresses, including Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia. Transactions were also linked to Balaji Entertainment. Investigators also revealed that the finance of the company was under tension during the demonetization, leading to a series of transfers of suspicious funds which are now examined. The evidence of these transfers would have been obtained by the EOW.
Kundra was also invited to submit video content produced for “Best Deal”. Although he argued that they had already been provided to the property cell, officials intend to take them into police custody once again for a more in-depth examination.
Confirming the development, Mumbai police published a statement: “Investigations continue against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra in a case of alleged fraud of Rs 60 crores. A conviction was issued by the police of Mumbai police ‘economic offenses in Raj Kundra. It was asked to appear before the investigation. ”
The case remains under study, with more names that should surface. The EOW is expected to call other people related to transactions in the coming days.
