After months of speculation and anticipation full of hope, actress Raveena Tandon finally broke her silence on the status of Aranyak Season 2 – and it is not the news that fans hoped. Addressing Hindustan Times, Tandon confirmed that the continuation of the successful criminal thriller of Netflix Indix in 2021 had been put aside.

“It doesn’t happen. Now I can say it, ”she admitted frankly. “Earlier, we all had hope. In fact, I think season two was also written, but I don’t know what the platform has in mind.”
Tandon, who portrayed the fierce cop and in emotionally Kasturi Dogra layers, had been widely acclaimed for his powerful performance in the series. The show marked its series debut and was congratulated for its atmospheric narration, its solid performance and its engaging mystery which mixed folklore with modern crime.
“Whenever they say:” Oh my God, it was a big show and one of our most visible shows immediately after Covid. It was a role so close to my heart, and I loved playing this character, ”she added. “But I don’t think they could have a good script for season two. And then the expectations were so high, so they didn’t want to spoil this.”
Aranyak Was created by Charudutt Acchara and Rohan Sippy, directed by Vinay Waikul, and presented a stellar distribution including Parambrata Chatterjee, Ashutosh Rana, Taneesha Joshi, Anna Ador, Zakir Hussain and Meghna Malik. The series has won a dedicated fans base for its captivating narrative in the misty forests of the Himachal Pradesh, where a haunting myth and a brutal crime were intertwined.
Despite one of the most watched Indian emissions on Netflix Post-Cavid, he now joins the list of high potential series that have never exceeded the first season. Fans and criticisms had great hopes for follow -up that would deepen the world of Kasturi and the unanswered sons of the final.
While the curtain fell on Aranyak season 2, Raveena’s emotional link with the role and impact of the show on Indian streaming content will undoubtedly remain memorable.
