Rohit Sharma is likely to withdraw from the next series of tests from the Indian Cricket team against England India today. The report said that sources have confirmed that the captain of the Indian cricket team had already made the decision. The sources have added that Virat Kohli is most likely to keep his place in the team. Rohit only scored 31 points in 3 games in the test series against Australia and he even dropped for the last match in Sydney.
Meanwhile, some of India’s front-line players will likely be part of the team “A” which will face the Lions in two four-day games during the May-June window in preparation for the test series.
India will start his 45 -day trip to England with the first test in Headingley on June 20, while they will try to win the first series outside at the old Blighty since 2007.
“The first four -day match will be organized at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury from May 30. The second match should start a week later on June 6 at County Ground in Northampton,” said Board England and Wales (ECB) in a statement.
All eminent Indian cricket players are contracted with their respective IPL franchises at the moment while the League Knockouts will be played on May 20, 21 23 before the May 25 final.
It gives selectors enough time to announce a team from India before the trip to England, and as things are now, Karun Nair could be on theft.
Karun was quite impressive during the interior season of 2024-25, emerging as the main run-detained of the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy, and the fourth higher manufacturer of Ranji trophy with 863 races of nine games on average 54 with four hundred and two.
His rich vein of form helped Vidarbha beat the Kerala in the final to win his third title Ranji.
“There is enough time to announce the team, mainly before the KO or just after these matches. You will then get a clear image as for the players available by then,” said a source close to development in PTI under the cover of anonymity.
