Salman Khan reveals why he enclosed his iconic balcony with bulletproof glass; says, “I would find people sleeping there…” : Bollywood News

The Balcony of Salman Khan with Galaxy Apartment has long held emblematic status, because the actor traditionally welcomes his fans from there on occasions like Eid. Earlier this year, however, the fans were disappointed when the balcony was locked up with glass to the test. Many assumed that it was due to the threats underway against the superstar. However, Khan has now revealed the real reason for the decision to protect the balcony.

Salman Khan reveals why he locked his emblematic balcony with glass tests; said: “I would find people who sleep there …”
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Salman Khan shared that the real reason behind him surrounding his balcony was due to the people who climbed and stayed there in the hope of meeting him. “I would find them to sleep there,” he revealed as quoted by the publication. Consequently, the actor decided to cover the balcony to ensure everyone’s safety at home.
For those who may not know it, the balcony of Salman Khan in his residence Galaxy Apartments was locked up with bulletproof glass in January of this year. This increased security measure was implemented during a period when the actor received multiple death threats, mainly the gang of the imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
In April 2024, shots were fired in front of the Galaxy apartments of Salman Khan in the Bandra region in Mumbai. Following the incident, it was reported that the Gang Lawrence Bishnoi would have been involved. Anmol Bishnoi, the gangster brother, then claimed the responsibility of the shooting via an article on Facebook.
Subsequently, the Mumbai traffic police received a threatening gang message, demanding Rs. 5 Broaders in exchange for “forgiveness” from Salman Khan. The message warned that if the request was not satisfied, the actor would face a spell “worse than Baba Siddique”, which was shot in Mumbai on October 12, 2024.
After these alarming events, Salman Khan’s security has been considerably improved. In October 2024, he bought a Nissan Patrol SUV with the ball test evaluated at approximately Rs 2 crores, imported directly from Dubai to Mumbai. In addition, security protocols have been reinforced outside the Bigg Boss 18 sets in the Cinematographic City of Mumbai. The reports also indicate that the Khan security team has been reinforced with eight to ten additional armed officers, and the Mumbai police set up a special command center at its residence.
