The young explosive opening drummer Sam Konstas received his first central contract by Cricket Australia on Tuesday for the 2025-26 season, which includes the World Championship final and the Ashes against England. Konstas, 19, made the headlines against India during the Melbourne boxing test when he made a fast Jasprit Bumrah launcher to make a memorable start 60 on 65 balls, with six four and two. Konstas is one of the 23 male players on the list contracted by Cricket Australia published on Tuesday.
“In SAM, we see promising up to a young player who will continue to develop at first class and in the international environment,” said Australian president of selectors George Bailey.
Matthew Kuhnemann, who was player of the series, was also new in the list of left-wing arms, the player of the series in the victory of the 2-0 test in Sri Lanka with 16 counters.
The 28 -year -old was then reported by match officials for a suspect bowling action, but subsequently authorized after testing the National Cricket Center in Brisbane.
“Matt was again exceptional in Sri Lanka and we think he can play a key role in the next 18 months,” said Bailey.
The versatile Beau Webster, which scored 57 during its test in testing during the fifth test in India in Sydney and then succeeded in winning points in the second round, was kept after being improved in the list contracted during last season.
The 31-year-old man can also make a medium-fast rabbit or out of spin.
“In the case of Beau, it turned out to be more than comfortable at the test with the bat and the ball, adds an additional dimension on the field and to the balance on the side,” said Bailey.
Australia will play South Africa in the final of the world test championship in Lord’s in June, followed by three tests in the Antilles.
