Shreyas Iyer’s First Reaction On Returning To Eden Gardens After KKR Snub: “Another…”

The skipper Shreyas Iyer, the skipper of Punjab Kings (PBKS), won the draw and chose to fight first against the reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the first Indian League in progress (IPL) 2025 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday. The host, Kolkata, is currently placed seventh on the point table with only three wins of eight games, while the Punjab is firmly in fifth place with five victories on eight games. KKR requires five victories in their last six games to have a chance to qualify for the first four. For PBKS, winning three victories in their six remaining games would be enough for the Iyer Punjab.
“We are struck first. Since we played on the same counter on which they have played. Can see some cracks, we will have an idea of the way he was playing. He has always been great to play in front of this crowd. Another day to come here and kiss. We have become brilliant departures. We want the balls to take titles. A chance for other quieurs.
At the time of launch, the captain of the Knight Riders, Ajinkya Rahane, said: “It is a question of playing the right cricket, needs to chase the target. Our questions have done very well to bowl. Come, Moeen and Sakariya come for Ramandeep.”
