Sonakshi Sinha recently went to Instagram to express his strong conviction of the recent decision imposing mass confinement of stray dogs through the Delhi NCR region. Every day is a disappointment. ” The note she republished has explained in detail the fate of street dogs, describing them as “victims of fear, hunger, illness, negligence, cruelty and abandonment”. He pointed out that these animals live homeless, vaccination or sterilization and must suffer in the streets, with many dying due to accidents or cruelty. The post called the decision plan to uproot dogs in their familiar environment and place them in overcrowded shelters – a decision considered “not animal welfare” but rather a denial of the freedom and identity of dogs. Instead, he asked human solutions such as sterilization and vaccination of street dogs to control their population in a responsible manner.
In a separate article, Sonakshi has also questioned the priorities of the authorities by emphasizing the government’s failure to respond to more urgent civic concerns affecting Delhi NCR residents. The note said: “If dogs are your biggest threat, it may be time to reveal your job description”, taking a blow to the apparent orientation poorly placed when problems such as air pollution, women’s safety, cleaning readers, public transport and infrastructure remain urgent challenges.
