Actor Telugu and actor Venkat Raj, popularly known as Fish Venkat, died on July 18 in Hyderabad due to complications linked to a kidney disease. He was 53 years old and had undergone dialysis while being treated with intensive care. His family had called on financial assistance to cover the cost of a kidney transplant, which was estimated at around 50 Lakh. Unfortunately, Venkat died before the necessary funds could be collected.

Venkat had appeared in many Telugu films, of which Adhurs,, Gabbar Singh,, ShivamAnd Khaidi n ° 150. His last appearance on the screen was in the 2024 film Coffee with a killer.
After the heartbreaking news, actor Sonu Sood extended his support for the bereaved family of Venkat. He quickly transferred RS 1.50 Lakh as a gesture of aid and also personally spoke to the wife and relatives of Venkat for a telephone call to offer his condolences.
According to Sonu Sood’s team, he initially believed that Venkat was still hospitalized and had a chance of recovery. However, he was “shocked to know” that the actor had already died. As Hindustan Times reported, Sonu personally spoke to the Venkat wife and other family members during a telephone call and assured their continuous support if necessary.
Venkat’s wife, who was deeply touched by the kind gesture, expressed a feeling of relief, especially since her husband had always admired Sonu Sood, Hindustan time also reported.
Previous reports said that actor Prabhas had offered 50 Lakh rupees for renal transplant of Venkat, but the family later said that they had never received such an amount.
“An unknown person called us by claiming to be the assistant of Prabhas Anna. We discovered after that it was a false call. He does not even know that something like it is. We have not yet received financial assistance,” a family member told Free Press Journal.
Before the death of Venkat, actors like Vishwak Sen and Pawan Kalyan would also have come forward to help. Pawan Kalyan would have given a sum after learning the state of Venkat. Although financial aid was delayed, the support of the fraternity of the film, in particular Sonu Sood, provided a little comfort to the family during this difficult period.
