He only did the most in the match and chose the counter of the semi-Centon Kkr Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Although this is the first match of the ambidextrous launcher in IPL, Mendis was a coherent interpreter for Sri Lanka. He played 12 tests, 19 ODI and 23 T20is.

The reigning champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) posted a competitive total against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match 15 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at Eden Gardens, thanks to a remarkable late acceleration accelerated by Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Sinh.
KKR finished its sleeves at 200/6 in 20 Overs, recovering from the first setbacks with a dynamic medium order partnership.
The KKR opening partnership, which had not managed to find the momentum in previous games, suffered another disappointing outing. Sunil Narine and Quinton de Kock could not provide the explosive start that the team wanted.
After a first first, from Kock hidden a shot from Pat Cummins badly and was taken in the depths for only one (6 balls). Narine followed shortly after, bordering too much delivery of Mohammed Shami to the goalkeeper for seven (7 balls). KKR had difficulties at 17/2 in three letters, bringing Captain Ajinkya Rahane and the young Angkrish Raghuvanshi to the fold.
With KKR in difficulty, Rahane and Raghuvanshi stabilized the sleeves with calculated assault. The duo took advantage of short deliveries, keeping the dashboard with well -timed limits and an excellent race between the counters. Rahane struck three six and played fluent before falling for 38 (27 balls) while trying a reverse sweep against Zeeshan Ansari.
Raghuvanshi, displaying maturity beyond its years, raised its second IPL FIFTY on only 30 bullets. However, his impressive sleeves of 50 (32 balls, five ovens, two six) ended when he decided the Kamu-Mendis off-peep to a point behind it. At 109/4 in 13.2 Overs, KKR had lost the two sets of sets, passing the responsibility for their intermediate order.
With the sleeves at a critical time, Venkatesh Iyer (60 out of 29 balls) and Rinku Singh (invainu 32 out of 17) have taken care of. Initially cautious, the duo sparked a wave of attackers in the overs of death. Venkatesh found its rhythm with powerful blows on Simarjeet and Shami, while Rinku sparked Kkr’s burden with three consecutive four on Harshal Patel in the 17th.
The 19th above Bald by Cummins turned out to be the turning point, while Rinku broke 4,6,4,4,2,1, reaching his fifty in just 25 bullets. The final partnership gave 91 out of 41 balls, at an astonishing race rate of 11.25.
KKR’s late push has seen them add 91 points in the last seven overs, propelling their total to 200 in 20 overs. The sleeves were defined by the anchoring role of Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh hits fearless, putting the pressure on the Bowling attack by SRH.
