Vineet Kumar Singh Show Rangeen recently released on Amazon Prime. He plays alongside Rajshri Deshpande, Taaruk Raina, Sheeba Chaddha and Meghna Malik. Viineet talked about the show, her character and more in an interview with us.

Your new Rangeen series shocked everyone by approaching the subject of female sexuality

It’s comedy. Because it is my intestine that I can do very well. It is therefore the space that I must explore. I have a chance in the dark comedy. And I’m really happy with it. At the same time, according to the essays I wrote in my childhood at school, it is anchored in my mind that cinema is the mirror of society. So, somewhere, this thing was printed in my mind. So my effort is that with all kinds of films. I should make such films. I should make such characters through which I can contribute something as an actor in society. It is therefore also an effort. A message must be given. Even if it is a small message. But with entertaining, a message must be given. I also want to explore historical things. As if I had a chance Chhaava. So let’s see. It is not in my hands. But yes, it is thought.

Would you say Chhaava A change of game for you?
When Chhaava V done, I did not expect this impact. So I made the historic character of Kavi Kalash Chhaava. I have never done anything like it in my career. My character at Rangeen attracted me a lot. And there were so many things that attracted me to her. In this show, to do this. And for the preparation, I read the script several times. Then I talked a lot to the writers. How they look at the character. How they look at his trip. How they look at its transformation. How they look at the very sensitive scenes. And then I make my boxes.
How much preparation went to Rangeen?
What is the physicity of my journalist character who is lost in his world? The external preparation begins first. What will be his physique? What are his habits? And then I stick all these boxes. And then I understood his interior things, which is very useful in the script, which is very useful of the writer. What kind of person is it? How does he react? How does he think? What are his relationships? How does it work professionally? How does he answer in his personal life? In a way, I find all these things.
He is an ordinary man. It is therefore very easy to relate to this character. I am really grateful to all my co-stars. These are wonderful actors. Whether Rajshri. Whether Taruk.
