“You Hit So Many Sixes…”: Rahul Dravid’s Epic Message On Rohit Sharma’s Stand At Wankhede




The former head coach of India, Rahul Dravid, praised the former test captain after the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) unveiled the Rohit Sharma stand at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai and said that monumental realization is a reward for his contribution to the cricket. “Hey Rohit, I guess you hit so many six in these stands that they had to name an after you. But no, congratulations! I’m sure there is a young boy who enters the emblematic Wankhede stadium there. That you have a named one, I think it is only a reward for your contribution to Mumbai and the Indian cricket,” on X.

The veteran drummer added that Rohit “really deserves” the feat and wanted him to succeed for the future. On a lighter note, Dravid now said that he knew who contacts tickets in Mumbai.

“It is really well deserved. Congratulations! I hope it was a beautiful day with family and friends. Looking forward to seeing a lot more than six in the Rohit Sharma stand in all the games you play and when I am short of tickets in Mumbai, now that you have a stand, I know who to contact,” he added.

The Wankhede is Sharma’s favorite hunting ground since he joined the domestic circuit in 2007. During the floor during the event, he expressed immense gratitude to all the people involved in the event and admitted that honor is special given the memories of his time at the arena.

The MCA also unveiled two additional stands appointed after Sharad Pawar, former MCA chief, BCCI and ICC and AJIT Wadekar, former captain of India. In addition, the MCA office fair, dedicated to the memory of the late Amol Kale, former president, was inaugurated.
