Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson said on Saturday that he had no regrets to lose against Jake Paul in their heavyweight boxing match after climbing the ring “one last time”. Friday, the 58 -year -old legend abandoned a unanimous decision to a Youtube fighter, 27, Paul at the AT&T stadium, the Dallas Cowboys house, in front of 72,300 fans and 60 million more households worldwide, according to Telecaster Netflix. “This is one of those situations where you lost but that you have always won,” posted Tyson on X. “I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to enter the ring one last time.”
Tyson, who said that he was almost died in June for health problems, had left chances open for another ring return in the comments shortly after defeat.
He said it was a victory just to fight – detailing the medical problems that forced the fight to be postponed from July after having a medical fear on a Miami flight to Los Angeles in May where he vomited blood.
“I am almost dead in June,” said Tyson. “Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half of my blood and 25 pounds in the hospital and I had to fight to be healthy to fight so I won.
“So that my children see me a foot on the foot and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a crowded cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask.”
