UFC Star Conor Mcgregor To Run For Ireland President

New Delhi:
UFC fighter Conor McGregor recorded his name in the presidential elections in Ireland on Thursday and promised that his country would protect its citizens against migration. He made this decision after meeting US President Donald Trump, as the hill reported. McGregor has decided to campaign as a leader in opposition to the European migration pact, which would create a rationalized approach to border security and immigration and accelerate the asylum process for the members of the European Union.
Taking his official competition on social networks, McGregor said he would participate in the next presidential election in order to oppose the European migration pact.
“The next presidential election must take place by November 11, 2025. Who else will resist the government and oppose this bill. Any other presidential candidate that he will try to present will be of no resistance to them. I will do it!” The UFC fighter wrote in an article on X.
Ireland must fully implement the EU migration pact before June 12, 2026.
Thus, by June 12, 2026, several laws must be adopted by the two chambers of the ireachtas, then signed by the president.

In addition, McGregor said that it was the choice of people to oppose the European migration pact, nor he can make decisions for them or the Irish government.
“For more clarity, as president, I would present this bill to referement. Although I greatly oppose this pact, it is neither mine nor the choice of governments. It is the people of Ireland!
The UFC star never held a political post but apparently won Trump’s support, who welcomed him in the oval office for several photo sessions on Monday, as the hill reported.
Earlier this week, McGregor met US President Donald Trump in the White House.
Speaking McGregor in the Irish government on Monday on Monday in the White House Information Room, the Irish government had “abandoned the votes” of the Irish people and said that rural cities in Ireland were invaded by immigrants. “Ireland is at the dawn of the potential loss of its Irishman,” he said.
His remarks attracted a lot of Flak from Irish leaders.
