AR Rahman responds to Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s criticism over tech-based music : Bollywood News
The MAESTRO Musical Ar Rahman addressed recent criticisms led by him by the reading singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who accused the composer of replacing traditional musicians with computer technology. In a frank interview with India Today, Rahman clarified his post and offered an overview of the vast musical collaborations that continue to define his work.

Abhijeet said Rahman’s preference for digital tools has led to a significant reduction in opportunities for old -fashioned musicians. In response, Rahman argued that although he uses technology to rationalize certain aspects of the music creation process, he has never been at the expense of real musicality. “It’s nice to blame me for everything. I always like Abhijeet, and I would send him cakes. In addition, that’s his opinion, and there is nothing wrong with one,” said Rahman with a characteristic calm.
He then detailed his efforts to support large -scale musicians. “I recently created an orchestra with 60 women in Dubai. They are employed each month and are paid insurance, health and everything. In each film I make, whether it be Chhaava Or Ponniyin SelvanThere are almost 200 to 300 musicians involved, and some songs have more than 100 people working there. I do not show or publish photos with them, and so no one learns it. “”
Rahman stressed that live music remains at the heart of his compositions, even if computers are used in the creative process. “The more you refine in music, the more you start to appreciate live music. Computers are used as a tool to design extraordinary harmonies and everything. We cannot afford to play and reject them later.
By rejecting the idea that technology replaces talent, Rahman clearly said that his intention has always been to mix the best of both worlds while being profitable. “We can go to all the producers I worked with to check the number of musicians we get,” he added.
