Follow the backlash on a church scene in Jaat With Randeep Hooda, the director of the film Gopichand Malineni responded to the controversy, stressing that the intention was never to harm religious feelings. His remarks come after the manufacturers have published an official statement confirming the removal of the film scene.

Talk to NoonMalineni explained that the Central Council for the Certification of the Film (CBFC) had not pointed out the controversial scene during the revision of the trailer. However, the board of directors later asked the team to blur the background in the final printing. “The censorship council said nothing for the trailer band, but later, he told us to blur the history of the impression of the film. It was done even before people opposed it,” he said. Reiterating his position on the cinema and the sensitivity of the public, Malineni added: “If a film must be a blockbuster, it must be watched by as many people as possible. No filmmaker wants to injure anyone or community. We want to entertain them. “
Earlier, the film’s production team had published official apology recognizing the public concern and confirming that the scene in question had been deleted. “There was a reaction for a specific scene in the film. The scene was withdrawn from the film with immediate effect. Our intention was not to hurt religious feelings. We regret it deeply and have taken a quick action to remove the scene from the film. We sincerely apologize to all those whose beliefs were injured,” said the declaration.
JaatDirected by Malineni, presents an overall actor including Sunny Deol, Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra and Randeep Hooda. In a grainy rural backdrop, the film plunges into themes of identity, justice and social tension. Hooda plays a conflicting character sailing on politics, violence and redemption, while the support cast adds depth to the story of the film.
Jaat Released in theaters on April 10, 2025. The film continues to draw attention not only for its performance and its history, but also for the conversations that it has triggered around creative expression and social responsibility in the cinema.
