Netflix deploys the red carpet for its latest original series The Royals, an original romantic comedy in first on May 9, 2025. Created by Rangita Prinitish Nandy and Ishita Prinish Nandy and produced by primordic Nandy communications, the show brings together the charm of Indian royalty with the SASS of modern ambition.

Located in the big city in ruins of Morpur, history follows an unlikely partnership between a reluctant prince and a fiercely motivated CEO. Ishaan Khatter embodies Aviraaj Singh, a royal who was having a hard time finding a goal, while Bhumi Pednekar plays Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, a lively and self-made CEO determined to transform the aging of Morpur into a luxury B&B. What starts as a commercial strategic movement moves quickly to a whirlwind of romance, comedy and chaos. The sparks fly, the Egos compete and the ancient secrets reveal themselves that the duo tries to reinvent the royal domain-and perhaps themselves in the process.
Speaking of his character, Bhumi Pednekar shared: “Playing Sophia felt like he was entering a world that is both ambitious and deeply linked.
Ishaan Khatter added: “Share the screen with such legendary and accomplished actors was inspiring and joy. This marks my second collaboration with Netflix in the world and my first with Netflix India and it was still an adventure. of love, drama, humor – something for everyone.
