“Hasn’t Worked Out…”: Pat Cummins Reflects As SRH Collapse To Sixth Defeat Of IPL 2025 vs MI

Sunrisers Captain Hyderabad (SRH), Pat Cummins, admitted that his team “never launched” after undergoing his sixth defeat of the Indian Premier League season (IPL) 2025 Wednesday. SRH fell seven counters to the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the International Stadium Rajiv Gandhi here after being reduced to 35/5 in 8.3 Overs, it is the position of 99 points between Heinrich Klaan and Abhinav Manohar who helped SRH display a respectable total of 143/8. Klaanse is at the top with a gravelly 71 of 44 deliveries, breaking nine limits and two six. Manohar supported him with a precious 43 balls out of 37, including two four and three six.

Speaking after the match, Cummins praised the pair for their fight.

“Klaasen and Abhinav did well to get a total of us,” he said.

However, the SRH skipper recognized that the bad start of the team cost them strongly.

“I have never started. After a few counters, you have to find a way to stabilize the ship. Couldn’t do that,” he admitted.

Asked about the pressure of publishing a large score on the surface of Hyderabad, Cummins stressed that the terrain was not unplayable but required a more intelligent striker.

“We talked about the field before the match. You have the right to make a good Brow, to build your sleeves and you can catch up. You have to start 0 for 0, it’s about assessing the field every time you play,” he said.

Based on previous matches, Cummins underlined the unpredictability of the T20 cricket.

“The difference between the first match where we got 280 and more the following, where we folded, was tall. It’s T20-you don’t know what’s going on,” he said.

The SRH now sliding further into the tournament, Cummins remains focused on the coming road.

“Has not worked so far. We now have a few outdoor games. It is a question of quickly assessing each counter,” he concluded.

SRH will now seek to come together and turn things in turn while they hit their next lights.
