The Indian Premier League match (IPL) 2025 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Mumbai Indians saw a bizarre incident while the dismissal of Ishan Kishan sparked a major controversy. During the third above the SRH sleeves, Kishan tried to play a delivery of Deepak Chahar towards the side of the legs but ended up missing it. The counter Ryan Rickelton recovered it behind the stumps and Kishan decided to return to the canoe despite no call from the MI players. The referee on the ground, Vinod Seshan, was going to report widely, but decided to raise his finger in an instant while Kishan returned. Kishan’s decision left everyone amazed when the reruns showed that there was no advantage involved in the incident.

Was the referee just not to stop or not to recall Kishan?

The MCC law 31.7 States – “An arbitrator will intervene if it is convinced that a hitter, having not been distributed, has left the counter under a misunderstanding of being released. The intermediate referee must call and report a dead ball to prevent any other action on the aligning side and will remember the striker.”

“A striker can be recalled at any time until the ball comes into play for the next delivery, unless it is the final sleeve window, in which case it should be the moment the referees leave the field.”

Consequently, the referee could have recalled Kishan if he was convinced that no advantage was involved. However, he decided to give it by keeping the mind the action and the body language of the striker.

Rohit Sharma scored its second successive half-century and shared a 53-point partnership with Suryakumar Yadav (40 steps out) while the Mumbai Indians beat Hyderabad Sunrisers by seven counters to record their fourth consecutive victory at IPL on Wednesday.

Chasing one below 143 for 8, built on the efforts of the efforts of Heinrich Klaasen (71 out of 44 balls) and its 99-point stand with Abhinav Manohar (43 out of 37 balls), Rohit was in his area while he hit 70 offers of 46 deliveries to bring a quick end to the misery of the domestic team in 15.4 counter-stars.

Earlier, Pacers Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult led an impressive bowling alley while the Mumbai Indians restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Chahar (2/12) and Boult (4/26) rocked SRH in their opening spells while the side of Pat Cummins was reduced to 13 for 4 in the fifth before Heinrich KlaaNen drew things a little with his chic half-truck.
