Rohit Shetty confirms Simmba 2 and Sooryavanshi 2 are in the works: “Aur bhi filmein banengi cop universe mein” : Bollywood News
Rohit Shetty officially confirmed that the suites in Ranveer Singh Simmba And Akshay Kumar Sooryavanshi are in preparation. He also revealed that more actors would join the COP universe, further expanding the franchise.

Addressing Komal Nahta on his podcast GamechangersRohit Shetty said: “Simmba ka bhi part 2 Hoga, Sooryavanshi Bhi Aage Badhegi. Aur Bhi Log aaenge. Aur Bhi Filmein Banengi Cop Universe Mein. So, that’s why we created this universe.”
In the same interview, Rohit Shetty revealed that the COP universe was not something he had initially planned. When he directed In Singham In 2011, he did not know that it would evolve towards such a massive franchise. The idea of connecting all the cop movies only started to take shape later, when he developed the script for Simmba.
Rohit Shetty, known to direct the Golmaal Series, counts Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar among his closest confidants of the film industry.
He said: “There are 2-3 people that I can even call at 2 am-Ajay Sir, Ranveer, Deepika. I share a very narrow link with them. In fact, while only Singham’s final calendar was left again, Deepika was already four months pregnant, but she has always come to shoot. Relations like these are really rare.”
