Ex-Pakistan Star Danish Kaneria Slams Deputy PM For Calling Pahalgam Attack Terrorists ‘Freedom Fighters’

The former spinner of the Pakistani cricket team Kaneria criticized the deputy minister Ishaq Dar for qualifying the Pahalgam Freedom Fighters to attack the terrorists. Kaneria had also criticized Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for her silence on the terrorist attack at Jammu-et-Cachemire. The attack on Pahalgam has been the deadliest assault on the cashmere valley since the 2019 Pulwama attack. While the incident has led to many criticisms from around the world, Ishaq Dar has made a bizarre affirmation by calling the terrorists “Freedom Fighters”. Kaneria was left by the comment as he called him “shameful” and said that it was “an open admission of terrorism sponsored by the State”.

“When the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan calls terrorists” Freedom Fighters “, it is not only a shame – it is an open admission of terrorism sponsored by the State,” published Kaneria on X (formerly Twitter).

Meanwhile, the Olympic medalist of time of time Javelin The Neeraj Chopra launcher struck on Friday to those who quote him for inviting the javelin launcher of Pakistan Arshad Nadeem for the classic Neeraj Chopra, saying that it was just an “invitation from one athlete to another”, sent before the Terror attack by Pahalgam.

The gold medalist of the Tokyo Olympic Games and the silver medalist of the Paris Games added that it “hurt” to see that he and his family are mistreated and their integrity called into question.

Chopra had invited Nadeem, who had beaten the Indian at Olympique de Paris last year to win gold, for the inaugural edition of Neeraj Chopra Classic to be held in Bengaluru on May 24.

Nadeem had refused to come and citing other commitments.

“There have been so many discussions on my decision to invite Arshad Nadeem to participate in the Neeraj Chopra Classic, and most of them were hatred and abuse. They did not even leave my family,” said Chopra in a long post on ‘x’.

“I am generally a man of a few words, but that does not mean that I will not talk about what I think is bad. More when it comes to questioning my love for our country and the respect and honor of my family,” he wrote.

Chopra said the invitations had been sent on Monday, two days before the Pahalgam terrorist attack during which 26 people, mainly tourists, were killed.

“The invitation that I extended to Arshad was from one athlete to another-nothing more, nothing less. The goal of the classic NC was to bring the best athletes to India and to make our country the home of world class sporting events. The invitations had gone to all the athletes on Monday, two days before the terrorist attacks of Pahalgam,” he added.
