The rhythm of the Royals of Rajasthan (RR) Akash Madhwal was spotted by the Indians of Mumbai (Mi) greeting Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh with hands folded after their IPL 2025 match on Thursday. Mi took a giant step towards the playoffs, beating RR of 100 points to temporarily occupy the first place in Table IPL. Madhwal made his IPL debut under the direction of Rohit, impressive during the 2023 season. However, he had trouble finding match time last season before being released by Mi before IPL 2025 Mega Auction, where he was bought by RR for Rs 1.2 crore.

Madhwal, who made his first appearance for RR this season on Thursday, went without a counter against his former team. In a viral video, Madhwal shared a small conversation with Rohit on the sidelines of the post-match presentation.

Rohit then pointed towards his wife, Ritika, who was in the stands, and Madhwal also greeted him with folded hands. Ritika also motioned for the young man with a smile on his appearance. After Rohit and Madhwal discuss, the first signed the jersey of the last in a comforting moment.

During the match in Jaipur, Rohit made 6,000 points in IPL for Mi, becoming only the second player to reach the milestone for a single team.

With a total of 6024 points for Mi, Rohit is second after Virat Kohli, who runs the list with 8,871 runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Rohit scored a brilliant 53 out of 36 balls before being dismissed by Riyan Parag. His sleeves were dotted with nine limits. It was his third fifty of the current IPL.

After a slow start in the first half of the 2025 IPL, where Rohit only made 56 points in his first five games, Rohit recovered with 234 points in his five previous rounds, with two fifty and 53 against RR on Thursday.
