The captain of the India Rohit Sharma team officially announced his retirement from the Cricket Test, ending a famous chapter in his international career. The 38 -year -old striker went to Instagram on Wednesday to share the news, expressing his gratitude to the fans and reflecting on his trip in the longest format of the match. “Hello everyone, I would just like to share that I retire from the test cricket. It was an absolute honor to represent my country in whites. Thank you for all love and support over the years. I will continue to represent India in ODI format,” Rohit wrote on its Instagram history.

Rohit made his test debut in 2013 and represented India in 67 games, scoring 4,301 points. His red ball career includes 12 centuries and 18 half-century, with a better career score of 212 against South Africa in 2019.
As a leading leader in the longest format, Rohit has capitalized India in 24 test games, winning 12 and losing 9. Although it was criticized for India’s performance during the recent tour of Australia, where India has failed to qualify for the final of the world championship, he guided the team to the 2023 edition at the Oval.
While moving away from the oldest format, Rohit has confirmed that it would continue to be available for the selection of a day, where it remains an essential element of the configuration of India.
