Indian Women’s Football Team To Play Uzbekistan In Two International Friendlies




The Indian senior women’s team will play two international FIFA friendly matches against Uzbekistan in the May / June window, the All India football federation (AIFF) announced on Thursday. The two matches against Uzbekistan will present themselves on May 30 and June 3 at the Padukone-Dravid Center for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru. The blue tigresses, trained by Crispin Chetri, are preparing for the qualifications of the AFC Asian 2026 Cup, after starting their camp in Bengaluru on May 1. India was drawn in group B, where they should face Mongolia (June 23), Timor-Leste (June 29), Iraq (July) and Thailand hosts (July 5), in Chiang Mai.

India, which occupies the 69th position in the ranking of women of FIFA, played in Uzbekistan, classified 50th, 13 times.

The White Wolves came out victorious on nine times, while the Blue Tigresses won a match. Three games between the two sides ended with prints.
