BCCI’s Statement On IPL Suspension “For One Week” Amid India-Pakistan Tension: “New Schedule…”

The Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend the rest of the IPL 2025 in progress with immediate effect for a week. Other updates concerning the new calendar and the new places in the tournament will be announced in due course after a full assessment of the situation in consultation with the authorities and the stakeholders concerned.
“The decision was taken by the IPL governance council after a consultation due with all key stakeholders following representations of most of the franchisees, who transmitted the concern and feelings of their players, as well as the views of the diffuser, sponsors and fans; while the BCCI put full faith in the strength and preparation of our armed forces.
The cricket organization added that it is with the Indian armed forces and the government of India
