Ex-Australia Star, Who Played 44 Tests, Punished For Involvement In Drug Deal

Friday, the former spinner of the Australian cricket team Stuart Macgill saved to go to prison after being found guilty of participation in a cocaine agreement. For the offense, he received an intensive correctional prescription of 22 months and 495 hours of community service. The 54 -year -old man was found guilty two months ago, but the hearing of his sentence was postponed. The court learned that Macgill had presented his ordinary drug trafficker to his brother-in-law, Marino Sotiopoulos, during a meeting under his restaurant on the north shore of Sydney.

Although he denied knowledge of the transaction, the prosecutors argued that the agreement could not have taken place without its participation.

Macgill was involved in an incident last year when he was kidnapped. However, the alleged kidnappers – two brothers – said Macgill came willingly and was involved in the drug trade.
