“Tom Curran Started Crying, Daryl Mitchell Said He Would Never Go To Pakistan Again”: PSL Star Shares Ordeal

Rise Hossain, the Bangladesh leg spinner, who played for the Hoorish Qalandars in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, shared a frightening test in the middle of the growing tension between the nation and India. He revealed that players abroad were terrified in terrified as they were trying to leave Pakistan. The Spinner opened after going to the United Arab Emirates (water) from which players took connection flights to reach their respective homes. In particular, the PSL 2025 was suspended a few hours after the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) decided to postpone the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for a week.
“Foreign players like Sam Billings, Daryl Mitchell, Kushal Perera, David Wiese, Tom Curran … All were all afraid … landing in Dubai, Mitchell told me that he would never go to Pakistan again, especially in this kind of scenario. Overall, they were all horrified,” Rishad told journalists after reaching Dubai.
While giving details on the fear of players abroad, the Bangladesh spinner said that the English Crickter Tom Curran had even been crying and needed some people to console him during the difficult period.
“He (Tom Curran) went to the airport, but heard that the airport was closed. Then he started crying like a small child, that it took two or three people to manage it,” said Rishad.
Nahid Rana was another Bangladesh player, who had participated in PSL 2025, part of the Peshawar Zalmi franchise. Rishad revealed that he had consoled his compatriotn and gave him hope.
“Nahid Rana was very calm, perhaps for tension, as I understood. I kept telling him not to be tense and I hope that nothing would happen to us. Alhamdulillah, we reached Dubai safely,” he said.
It was very real that the families of players are concerned with everything that was going on during growing tensions between India and Pakistan.
“Alhamdulillah, we reached Dubai after overcoming a crisis and I feel good now,” said Rishad.
“After landing in Dubai, when we learned that a missile had hit the airport for 20 minutes after taking off from the airport. The news was frightening and painful and now after reaching Dubai, we feel relieved.
“Whenever I go out to play, my family worries about me, whether the situation is good or not and now when they heard Pakistan news – bombs blasteaux and missile strikes here and there – naturally they were in tension.
“I personally tried to console them and tell them not to worry about me and they were completely normal,” he added.
For the moment, India and Pakistan have started to contain on the fold fire.
